An Autumnal Celebration at McKinley Park

On August 23rd, the Chicago Chinese Culture & Arts Society and the Chicago Park District co-hosted the fourth annual “An Autumnal Celebration at McKinley Park.

This year, 12 local groups performed nearly 35 programs. In addition, a local Mexican dance troupe CICAย was also invited to join the event. The 2 1/2 hour show attracted over a thousand attendees including local politicians and representatives from the Chicago Chinese Consulate.

The quality of the performance was truly exceptional as the artistic programs were innovative and unique. From five-year-olds to those in their late 80s, each group performed their own unique interpretation of their ethnic culture which delighted local residents.

Our mission is to spread Chinese culture, enhance interethnic exchanges, and foster friendship among all people.
