On July 25th, several members of the Chicago Chinese Culture & Arts Society (CCCAS) performed a Qipao dance, “The Beauties Strolling in the Rain,” on NBC TV’s Channel 5 show, “Chicago Today.”

This special segment of the show was produced to promote the annual “Chinatown Summer Festival” held in Chicago on July 26th and 27th.

CCCAS’s participation served as an invitation to welcome all Chicagoland residents from different ethnicities and cultural backgrounds, to attend the “Chinatown Summer Fair” and learn more about the beauty of Chinese culture and hertiage through song and dance performances, arts and crafts, martial arts demonstrations and Chinese cuisin

Today is the 2,000-year-old at Ping Tom Memorial Park

Chinese Dragon Boat Race, the popular sport of Chinese communities and many other communities worldwide. Thirty-two dragon boat race teams will compete on the south branch of the Chicago River. These beautifully decorated dragon boats consist of 20 members: 18 paddlers, 1 drummer and 1 flag catcher. The 18 paddlers row to the beat of the drummer, while each team’s flag catcher pulls a flag positioned in the water at the finish line.

14th Annual AMEC Congressional Global Champions Gala 2025

On June 14, 14TH ANNUAL AMEC CONGRESSIONAL GLOBAL CHAMPIONS GALA 2025 was held at the Yellow Box Theater in Naperville, a western suburb of Chicago. Chicago Chinese Culture and Arts Society’s Dance Team was invited to perform the dance “Legend of the Blue Bird.”

Our team was invited to perform the dance “Legend of the Blue Bird,” and we are proud to have taken part in this important global event. We are especially grateful to the AMEC for inviting us to participate and hope that we did justice to their kind invitation.
