Spring Festival Bazaar 2026

The Bazaar was sponsored by CCCAS and the Chicago McKinley Park district, along with other sponsors. Here are some highlights of the Spring Festival Bazaar at McKinley Park in Chicago on February 14, 2026. We used two auditoriums filled with music; the main auditorium featured crafts, art, colorful outfits in the Chinese style, singing, performances, dancing, and three and a half hours of fun and lively music and entertainment.

The Spring Festival Bazaar Happened

February 14 th 2026 Event

The Spring Festival Bazaar—a big Lunar New Year bash at McKinley Park—just happened yesterday, February 14th. It ran from 11:30 AM to 3 PM at the field house on 2210 West Pershing Road.

Free for all ages, the event was packed with over forty groups, including the Chicago People’s Art Troupe, Midwest Asian Health Association, Citi, and the Park District.

Here’s the full lineup: lion and dragon dances kicked things off, followed by live music and song performances. There were also hands-on activities such as calligraphy demos, paper-cutting, lantern-making, face-painting for kids, and pinwheel crafts. Attendees also enjoyed wrapping dumplings and tangyuan, playing chopstick games, and twirling handkerchiefs. Other highlights included red envelopes, raffles with prizes, tea rituals, and food stalls. It was a very successful event.

Total community thing—families, locals, even some visitors mixing in.

Nov 1, 2025 I am a Star

On November 1, 2025, we held our “I am a Star” event at McKinley Park in Chicago, IL. The 3-hour event featured approximately 27 performances, with no commercials or host announcements, focusing solely on entertainment. A segment featured sponsors displaying banners and walking like on a catwalk in a fashion show sequence, showcasing colorful Chinese dresses and costumes.

Staring at a wardrobe full of beautiful clothes and feeling sorry for oneself? Come on, friends! Show off your charm with “I’m a Star”! You can showcase your melodious singing voice, your graceful dance moves, your healthy physique, your stylish outfits, and your passion for life and confidence! This is your shining stage!🌹

Registration is now open, and everyone is welcome to participate in various forms of performances, whether as a group or an individual, as well as to attend the fashion show (at least three outfits are required for display).
The 9th annual “I Am a Star” Song, Dance, and Fashion Show by the Chicago Chinese Culture & Arts Society will take place on November 1, 2025, at McKinley Park! Everyone is welcome to attend, whether individually or as part of a team.
