On June 14, 14TH ANNUAL AMEC CONGRESSIONAL GLOBAL CHAMPIONS GALA 2025 was held at the Yellow Box Theater in Naperville, a western suburb of Chicago. Chicago Chinese Culture and Arts Society’s Dance Team was invited to perform the dance “Legend of the Blue Bird.”
Our team was invited to perform the dance “Legend of the Blue Bird,” and we are proud to have taken part in this important global event. We are especially grateful to the AMEC for inviting us to participate and hope that we did justice to their kind invitation.

Celebration in Chicago’s Chinatown at Chinatown Square
Spring is here, and the Chinese community in Chicago held a spring banquet to celebrate the beginning of the new year!
The 2025 Asian Lunar New Year celebrations continued with CCCAS participating in a singing performance at the Chicago Lantern Festival Song and Dance Gala on February 12th and on February 16th at the Jaozi Dumpling Banquet held by United Chinese Americans (UCA) at River Trail Middle School in Mount Prospect, IL.
A highlight of the awards presentation was CCCAS President Ye Liu receiving the “Outstanding Community Contribution Award.”
Organized by the Chicago Chinese Culture Arts Society (CCCAS), MAHA, and the Chicago Park District, with more than 50 associations and institutions, gathered in the park’s auditorium’s.

On February 1, CCCAS first participated with a singing performance at the Spring Festival Gala for the Year of the Snake organized by Northwestern University Chinese Students and Scholars Association (NUCSSA.)
Later in the day, CCCAS performed a dance routine for the Chinese New Year Showcase event with the RDFZ Art Troupe under the auspices of The Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra and the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Chicago
Our dance team, CCCAS, was very well received at DePaul University’s Chinese Lunar New Year Spring Festival Gala on January 29th. I thought the dance team did an outstanding job.
